We are delighted to announce that on the 28 April 2020 at the Huntingdon Race Course, we will be welcoming Sarah Naish, (author of The A-Z of Therapeutic Parenting) to speak at our 5th Conference for foster carers, adopters, social workers and anyone working with young people.
This is the 5th in our series of trauma informed conferences. We welcome people from other organisations to share in the discussion and develop their knowledge about the impact of trauma on young people.
Sarah Naish is the CEO and Founder of the Centre for Excellence in Child Trauma. She has been the keynote speaker at conferences around the world and is the UK’s best-selling author on therapeutic parenting.
She has over 30 years’ experience of supporting children who have experienced Developmental Trauma having worked as a social worker, owned a fostering agency and founded both Inspire Training Group and the National Association of Therapeutic Parents (NATP). She has direct experience of therapeutic parenting having adopted five siblings, her experiences raising her children have helped form the basis of her knowledge.
As an author she is known for writing succinct, humorous and jargon-free books to help foster parents, adopters and any other parent caring for a child who has suffered trauma. Her bestselling book The A-Z of Therapeutic Parenting: Strategies and Solutions is recognised as an essential resource on therapeutic parenting. She has also written a series of children’s books with her eldest daughter Rosie Jefferies that offer simple coping strategies for children within the stories, including the number one best-seller William Wobbly and the Very Bad Day.
